What is a generic medication?
Generic medications are significantly discounted copies of brand name medication that have the same active ingredients, intended use, dosage, side effects, effects, and route of administration as the original brand name medication. In other words, generic medications have the same pharmacological effects as their brand-name counterparts. Over half of all prescribed medications are for generic medications.

Duricef Overview
Duricef is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of drugs known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.
How to Use Duricef
Take Duricef by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day. You may take Duricef with food if stomach upset occurs. If you are using the liquid form of Duricef, shake the bottle well before each dose. Carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose. The Dosage of Duricef is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. In children, the Dosage of Duricef is also based on weight. For the best effect, take this antibiotic at evenly spaced times. To help you remember, take Duricef at the same time(s) every day. Continue to take Duricef until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection. Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse.
